4.2 Research

 

I chose these character designs because i like the way that they look and they fit very well into a fantasy world, they also can fit well into different classes such as knights, assassins and barbarians which makes it easier to draw inspiration from them when drawing specific classes in the problem solving section.

I chose to include these images in the fantasy character mood-board as i feel that each on evoke a real sense of fantasy and they all are easy to recognize as being part of the fantasy genre.

I decided to include these environments in my fantasy environments mood-board as i believe that each one instills a sense of awe and wonder which is key to establishing an effective fantasy environment

 Digital drawing and painting tutorials and techniques 

the first one of these faces was created using vector drawing while the second face was created using different shades of paint which were blurred together. these skills will be useful when drawing and coloring in, in my problem solving section.

Here are two tutorials one digital paining and the other on digital sketching focusing on how to draw fur. the digital painting will by useful when designing my 2D art for the problem solving section and the fur drawing tutorial may be useful later when drawing animals or clothing.

In this mood-board I have gathered various different pixel art techniques such as how to draw simple objects using pixels as well as how to texture shapes to look like specific materials and also how to draw complex objects and textures. these skills and tutorials can be used in the problem solving section as well as throughout the rest of the year for other projects involving pixel art.

This mood-board on animation contains simple tutorials on walk cycles and, basic movement and action of humans and animals which will be useful in the problem solving and other animation inclusive projects throughout the year.

This video tutorial on animation will be used in the same way as the mood board but it is a lot more in depth and allows me to easier apply the animation techniques to Photoshop.

This mood-board on tillable textures features examples and basic tutorials about and how to create simple textures as well as some complex ones, it also shows how to to texture simple objects. these skills are very useful when creating textures for my 3D models as well as
